LOCAL OFFICIAL RULES 

1. General.   No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local regulations apply.  By submitting an entry to this contest, sponsored by WRAL.COM the entrant acknowledges and agrees to all of these Official Rules. Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. ET on April 7, 2015 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on September 23, 2015. By entering the drawing, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by all decisions of WRAL.com, whose decisions are binding and final.  WRAL.com reserves the right to change the rules at any time to ensure the fair administration of the contest and compliance with applicable laws.

2. Eligibility. The contest is open only to permanent, legal U.S. residents 18 years of age as of September 23, 2015 and who reside in North Carolina or Mecklenburg County, VA. Employees of WRAL.COM, WRAL-TV, and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, employees, advertising and promotion agencies and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) are not eligible.  Persons who have won a prize valued over $100 in any WRAL.com sponsored contest in 2015 are ineligible to win this contest.

3. How to Enter. You may enter by completing the online entry form, which includes name, address, email address and other information. Entrants must be the registered subscriber of the email account from which the entry is made. You may enter once during the sweepstakes period. Multiple entries received from any person or email address will void all such additional entries. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. Neither WRAL.COM nor its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees are responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical or computer failures of any kind, for inaccurate transcription of entry information, errors in any promotional or marketing materials, errors in these rules, for any human or electronic error, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, lost, late or damaged. All entries become the property of WRAL.com, and will not be acknowledged or returned. All online entries must be received before 11:59 p.m. ET on September 23, 2015 to be eligible for the drawing. By checking the relevant box or selection in the registration form, entrants agree that WRAL.com may contact the entrant via email with information special content or features. If you do not wish to receive these materials do not check the relevant box in the entry form. If at any time, you do not wish to receive these materials in the future, please use the unsubscribe procedures contained in the email message.

How to Play. For each event, pick the golfers you think will finish 1st through 10th. Golfers are awarded "Fantasy Money" depending on how they finish in an event. 1st place is worth $1,000,000, 2nd place is worth $900,000, 3rd place is worth $800,000, 4th place is worth $720,000, 5th place is worth $700,000, and each subsequent place is worth $20,000 less than the preceding place. 40th place and beyond (including disqualified golfers and golfers who do not make the cut) are worth 0 points. Your total score for an event is the sum of the Fantasy Money for all the golfers on your team. You will receive a $250,000 Fantasy Money bonus for every golfer that finishes the event in the exact place you picked him to finish the event.

Your overall score is the total of the Fantasy Money you received for your best 10 events for the season.

If there is a tie for an event, the computer will randomly select a winner from the players that are tied.

If there are ties for the overall winner, the computer will select the player with the most team money for the most recent event. If there is still a tie, the computer will continue comparing scores for previous events until a winner is selected. If the players are tied for all the events, the computer will randomly select a winner from the players that are tied.

Weekly winners are based on the order or finish immediately following the event. If the finish order is adjusted after the event, the weekly winners will remain the same but all players' points will be recomputed for the season total.

If an event is canceled or indefinitely suspended for any reason that event shall not count for any contestant and scores will be computed as if the event did not exist.

Limit one (1) entry per person.

4. Selection of Winner. One local (1) player who accumulates the most points in the contest will be selected. In the event of a tie, the winner will be selected randomly. The winner will be notified by email or telephone. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

5.  Prize Redemption and Releases.  The winner will be notified at the contact information submitted at time of entry and will be instructed regarding how to claim and obtain the prize.  Winner will be required to sign and return to WRAL-TV an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release within 7 days of notification, as well as IRS form W-9: Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification for any prize over $600.00 in total value. If any prize notification is undeliverable, or in the event of non-compliance with any of these requirements, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries.  No substitution of prizes or transfer of prizes to a third party is permitted.  Winner must complete an affidavit of eligibility and liability release, or the prize will be forfeited and alternate winner selected.  Except where prohibited, by playing the contest, or by winning, participants have awarded WRAL.com, the right to publicize and/or broadcast their name, photograph or likeness, voice and details and have accepted and agreed to be bound by these rules.

6. Prizes. One (1) verified local winner will receive a $100 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods. WRAL.com reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value.

7. Disclaimer. WRAL.COM reserves the right to disqualify any contest entries in our sole discretion. Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damages caused or claimed to be caused by his or her participation in the sweepstakes and/or the acceptance and/or use of any prize, and releases by WRAL.COM, and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, and employees, from any such liability. WRAL.COM and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this sweepstakes or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this sweepstakes. Entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winner's name, city, state, likeness and/or voice for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation. The winner's name and city of residence will be emailed to those who request it.

8. Internet. If for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, and unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of WRAL.com which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity of the game or sweepstakes, WRAL.com reserves its right in its discretion to disqualify any individual it believes has tampered with the entry process, and/or cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the sweepstakes/game. WRAL.COM and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees (i) assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alternation of, entries: (ii) are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or provider, computer equipment, software, failure of any email to be received by WRAL.com, on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to the participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this sweepstakes/game.

9. Winner Announcement. For the name of the winners, available by the end of each month, send an email requesting the winner's name to contests@wral.com.

 

NATIONAL OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. THIS CONTEST IS INTENDED FOR PLAY IN THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA ONLY AND WILL BE GOVERNED BY U.S. LAW. DO NOT PARTICIPATE IF YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE AND LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES OR CANADA AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.

These Official Rules are for the UPICKEM GOLF Contest (the "Contest"), which is a nationwide contest (including both the United States and Canada) sponsored by Second Street Media Inc. ("Sponsor"). Local affiliates who choose to participate in this Contest may offer prizes for their participants only, but eligibility for those prizes may be restricted to individuals in the affiliate's local area.

Contest entries will be accepted beginning at 12:01 am ET on April 1, 2015. Entries for UPICKEM Golf will be accepted until the published close time for each tournament, as posted on the page where users submit picks.

This Contest is not intended to be used for gambling purposes. If it is determined that a participant is using the Contest for gambling purposes, he/she will be disqualified.

1. ELIGIBILITY: This Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 states of United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older, and legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec), who are of legal age of majority in their province of residence, at the time of entry. Local affiliates may restrict eligibility for affiliate prizes; eligibility for local affiliate prizes will be posted on the local affiliate's website. Employees of Sponsor and participating affiliates (the "Promotion Parties"), and members of the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouse) and households of each such employee are not eligible to participate or win a prize. This contest is void in Quebec and where prohibited by law.

2. HOW TO PLAY: For each event, pick the golfers you think will finish 1st through 10th. National Prizes

The weekly winner receives either a Lucky7 Shake of the Day card game or a Lucky7 Hold'Em Advanced Card Set provided by Lucky7Golf.com. The approximate value is $15-$20 depending on the prize.

The overall winner receives a SkyCaddie GPS SG5, provided by Second Street. The approximate value of the overall prize is $200.

3. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified by email. All posted results are unofficial until winners are verified. If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days of the initial notification email, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to the next highest scoring participant. Prizes won by an eligible participant who is a minor in his/her state of residence (a resident of AL or NE who is 18 years of age) will be awarded to minor's parent or legal guardian who must sign and return all required documents. Sponsor is not responsible for any change of email address, mailing address and/or telephone number of participants.

4. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Participants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and that the decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding on all matters pertaining to the Contest.

The Promotion Parties reserve the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash equivalent or substitution of prize is offered, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The Promotion Parties have not made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on a prize (if any) are provided only by the manufacturer, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty and/or guarantee. Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and may be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.

A participant grants to Sponsor and the local affiliates the right to use and publish his/her proper name and state/province or residence online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest. By accepting a prize, a winner grants Sponsor and the local affiliates the right to use his or her name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation. Participants agree (a) to release and hold Sponsor, Promotion Parties and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize or participation in this Contest; (b) that under no circumstances will participants be permitted to obtain awards for any punitive, incidental or consequential damages; (c) all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (d) any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, excluding attorneys' fees and court costs.

5. PRIVACY NOTICE: Information you provide in connection with this contest is subject to Sponsor's Privacy Policy and will be shared with your local affiliate.

6. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Sponsor and Promotion Parties are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God, lost, late, misdirected, postage-due, unintelligible, returned, undelivered entries or email, or for lost, interrupted or unavailable satellite, network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), Website, or other connections availability, accessibility or traffic congestion, miscommunications, failed computer, network, telephone, satellite or cable hardware or software or lines, or technical failure, or jumbled, scrambled, delayed or misdirected transmissions, computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic or network. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of this Contest or Website, or act in violation of the Official Rules, or act in any manner to threaten or abuse or harass any person, or violate Website's terms of service, as solely determined by the Sponsor, will be disqualified. Neither Sponsor nor Promotion Parties are responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information whether caused by Website users, tampering, hacking, or by any of the programming or equipment associated with or used in this Contest, and assumes no responsibility for any errors, omission, deletion, interruption or delay in operation or transmission or communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized Website access. Any use of robotic, macro, automatic, programmed or like methods of play will void all such plays, and may subject that participant to disqualification. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual (and all of his or her submissions) who tampers with the submission process. Neither Sponsor nor Promotion Parties are responsible for injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer or property related to or resulting from participating in this Contest. Should any portion of Contest be, in the Sponsor's sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Contest, or Contest plays, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest.

7. WINNERS: For a list of national winners, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Second Street Media, Inc., 1017 Olive Street, Mezzanine Level, St. Louis, MO, 63101, Attn: Golf Contest Winners List. Requests must be received by December 15, 2015.
